I miss my Kodachromes.

Fahim,

I have some in my freezer, but so what! One cannot get the stuff processed! I like the color you have, but you could always add to the saturation. The other thin about these images is that they do especially well when the view is wide angle and one has complete context. Then, color might not be needed. There's an exhibit in LA right now, I have to get the link, and color was only used in close ups where one could see folk with their striking decorative dress.

Fahim Mohammed: Temple of The Mengwi Kingdom

Fahim,

Thanks for giving us this splendid view. I appreciate now more of the grandeur of the Temple. Those wooden doors seem exceptional tall. I guess they might have an iron reinforcement. The building is like an individual I meet for the first time . I like to see the whole person before getting up close to just a shoulder and a chin! The details you show in the first pictures now become more understandable.

The path is interesting too. Is there another archway behind you or does the path belong to the public street. I can imagine that there are festivals in which the grand doors are opened and there might be a procession entering the temple with flower petals scattered, bells ringing and incense in the air.

All part of the temple complex.

The inner areas are forbidden. But one can get a look from around the huge perimeter..

I was there very early morning. By 0900 hrs, the whole site was packed with locals and tourists.
