A while ago I replaced an old and dusty analog camera with a digital to make some snaps for work. Before the old one could be disposed of I checked if it still worked, loaded a roll of film and it did, and did, and did .. restarted my interest in photography.
Martin Kuivenhoven, father of two, and "forever novice" as far as photography is concerned. I started loaning my fathers Pentax MV a 135mm and 2x converter to shoot windsurfing racing, had my Canon Zoom F and later moved on to a Canon EOS 500 with two zooms and flash. This was my pride an joy for more then 10 years before I picked up that oldy.
The oldy is an Olympus Om-2n and the set has (in the meantime grown to) primes from 18mm to 600mm, a 50mm macro, rings, converters, flash etc. The interest in older gear meant the addition of a Yashica TL Electro with some fine glass. Last year I have been shooting with an EOS 5 (analog) and most of the older lenses now are mated to fit the EOS.
Nothing more logical then to make the step and to switch to a digital Canon body ehh .. Olympus E-1. So I am now learning the ropes on the E-1 with most of the manual lenses. Novice again and enjoying every minute of it. Don't expect works of art from me but I hope to show some surprises with older gear on a "modern" reflex.
My shooting is mainly in zoo's and local wildlife from very close up to long distance ..
edit: and I am from Leiden, the Netherlands ..
