My daughter and another image

I have been rather busy for some time now and I have not posting.
However I had some time free and I made some pictures of a young woman making up.
I post my Sara to begin with and another picture which I think is a pleasant one.
Thank you for watching. :D

"Sara"

Welcome again, Antonio!

Both you and Jim Galli have selected to make portraits of their adult daughters. Both these pictures show a level of confidence in the relationship between father and daughter. I like here coloring and the light from her right side. I would consider increasing the catch-lights in here eyes. The hair on her left could be better lit using just a white card reflector at an angle just behind her to her side.

How did you shoot this?

"Woman applying Makeup"

This is interesting. I'd consider increasing the contrast of the makeup and skin to bring out the sweep of that stroke below here eye.

She seems to have a contact lens and that would be better either showing clearly or else retouching to make it vanish.

Thanks for sharing,

Asher

Thank you for the comment Asher :)
I have re-worked my daughter's image doing a better and slightly larger catch eye and I also made some adjustments, but small ones ...
It was shot with the 20 D with the 70-200mm. There was light from behind and a fill flash from our right.

I had not noticed the contact lens on the other picture... :)
Good point :)

I'd like to see more of the makup series. That's an interesting idea. Maybe get the strokes to be bold before smoothing.

You can now bill your daughter for a nice portrait! I know she'll treasure it.
