Tevya the milkman had a horse until it gave up and died. Then he had to schlepp the cart himself. That was a movie! This is not metaphor. It's too real and a window on how others really work for a living.

I am crying out to see more of the musical instrument. For me the image only tells a partial story. Do you have a version that is less cropped?

Fahim Mohammed: "I Happened Along..."​

This, Fahim, is the style of street photography of yours I like the best. Why?

First you have gotten rid of man-made colors which themselves distract us and are a hotch-botch of hyper-Jackson Pollock disorder, like the colors in that bangle store; indeed, I may offer, garish!

By doing so we uncover the best parts of the pictures, the gestures, human intentions and feelings. Here you excel. This picture is wonderful in catching a precious relationship between the two women on the left, as they relate to one another, with the woman on the right in her own thoughts.

Anyone can capture one person. Getting a working micro-community in its native unspoiled state is marvelous.

Did you then ask for permission? Of course you did!

Fine work! The photographer's eyes are work well here defining the image; note how the camera used is likely irrelevant! (Are these all yours? Or did Aisha do any here?)

Fahim,

In the first pictures, where there's zero eye contact between you and them, I feel that you have empathy for your subjects. I like this growing body of work. This is how we should work in OPF, discovering our vision.

I do wonder whether or not you might want to experiment here with how the final B&W images might be polished before printing as I think there may be room for trying out different levels of "roughness" of the pictures and how you sharpen them.

Thanks for your comments. I have printed most of them. Some are in color and converted to bw for posting on here.

Re: the book..we started and almost finished one..it did not turn out so well.

Ayesha intends to redo when in NA.
