New Photographer From India with Nokia Cell Phone!

Neil Sequira

New member
Hi, I am Neil from India. I am a student and love to learn new things

Sorry i asked this. As my Camera is down for next one month, I am using My Nokia 3500 Classic Mobile to take pics. Can any one tell me how to improve quality as well as techniques.

Linux, Unix for photo editing: Sad, You people must realize this also. They even have support for few digicams through Gphoto lib. By the way Please don't forget this too. Please tell me why you have not included this OS in your forum list

Hi Neil,

Welcome to OPF. Did you take pictures with your camera before it was broken. Could you share them with us? The way to improve is to take pictures and examine what you have achieved and make a plan to improve. Also one needs to look at photographs by others.

We have no idea what background you have. Are you a student in high school or college and of what? What's your interest in photography?

Linux and unix are of interest to you? Then fine, tell us what software you use? If you discuss it, then it will be included! Gimp is one thing you might look at. Most everyone uses Photoshop in some form. GIMP is free and has a lot of great features supported by the community at large.

You Nokia can take adequate pictures. For street photography it might be fine. Look at the current. posts you'll see others are very creative with their phone cameras.

If you post some of your work and then we can make comments on how to improve your work. It could be that you are more talented than the resot of us!

Asher

Hi Neil,
Welcome aboard! Me too, a newbie here. Thanks for mentioning linux. I'm in th process of migrating to fedora. Hope to find more people with linux experience. Yeah, like Asher says, the Nokia may not equal a DSLR, but then, it has one BIG advantage: it's always in your pocket!
