Not so simple!

Having visited Venice, Florence, Milan and Rome on so many occasions, the narrow street becomes so much part of our memories of good times and of lonely walking back to our hotel, after dark through such tiny passageways that even accommodate scooters or cars, but often with nowhere for pedestrians to be really safe!

But these narrow streets still function and are alive. In some places, these are actually paved over canals!

Likely there are free evening concerts and recitals in such grand buildings, especially the giant churches, as it gives them a new purpose and attracts the crowds!

@Asher
This is the “Teatro Massimo Vittorio Emanuele” in Palermo (Sicily), this is one of the largest Opéra in Europe (the third largest opera house in Europe after the Palais Garnier in Paris, and the K. K. Hof-Opernhaus in Vienna), renowned for its perfect acoustics.
