Don't you think James that the image would be better if slightly moved to the right with the bench in ?

The way/path would be more to the left of the frame balancing the man with the bench, something like the bench waiting for him to rest for a while (in spite of the fog)...

The fog plays here a very important role indeed !

You may be right but I don't think it would really change the feeling of the image. Might be a better composition though. Thanks for the feedback!

Atmospheric and related to the universal metaphor, "Life as a journey"!

Not only is he traveling along his path, but also he's schlepping his load/acquired possessions and/burdens with him - and that's life!
