Photographic Gems of Our Times From The Web Not really photographs: Jim Kazanjian

Jerome Marot

Well-known member
Jim Kazanjian creates and alternate universe in CGI graphics. In his words: "I’ve chosen photography as a medium because of the cultural misunderstanding that it has a sort of built-in objectivity. This allows me to set up a visual tension within the work, to make it resonate and lure the viewer further inside."

Jerome,

To me, this is classical photography. After all folk have been doing collage with varying degrees of skill for the last 100 years. The distinguishing properties of this work is his being so well informed by world of games and mythology and his incredible skill and esthetic sense.

Thanks once again for extending our vision with your link to this fascinating work!
