November.

Nov 8th made me smile because for a very short moment, I thought there were drinking straws until I noticed the dirt.

They are drinking straws. Bonus points for whomever finds what they are used for before the end of the series.

Love the summery colors on this cold wintery day. Feels very tropical. Funny about the store owner though. :-D

Not so funny. Strange: yes. Peculiar: yes. Weird: yes. Funny: not really. That guy was very, very upset… for no sensible reason.

She was not "in the open". I keep bees, sometimes I have to clean dead ones.

Jerome,

You just keep dead bees you find to photograph. Or you are a bee keeper? If the latter, do you have bee colony collapsing as a problem? Do you rent out the bees for pollinating?

I keep live bees as a hobby. Very few people rent out bees for pollinating in Europe compared to the USA. Colony collapse is indeed a problem, but I have been largely saved from it.

Thank you Nicolas. I'll see what I can do for the roots, maybe the next storm will reveal things...

Jerome,

Did you intend us to see any detail of the figures other than very dark shapes, (but no where near silhouettes)? It remind me of some old Flemish master painting of workers in a field, or like Per Brueghel the Elder with the lights turned sown!

Actually, I just tried to find a compromise between the "silhouette" effect and raising the blacks so that noise became too obvious, Asher. It is strongly backlit and if I don't raise the levels, there are no details at all on the ground.

You are right about the model number. The lock is engraved because it has become some kind of fashion for couples to write their names on such a lock and attach it to a bridge.

Oh, that is neat.

The Aluminum housings of that Abus series (in nice colors) are so well suited for that.

Thanks.

Best regards,

Doug

I like it that way, Cem.

(Tom said he'd be gone by 18/11, so this should be safe... ;) )
That looks like a picture of a blonde on a Ferrari, right? If so, Tom doesn't need to nag me for showing one. BTW, he is still around so hide your wives and kids. ;)
