i find this is a half-baked image, i wont go into the political aspects but even on a photographic level it doesn't work for me...

the pawing womans right shoulder breaks any curve that her bum / leg make. the lighting is over done as the shadows don't add anything to the subject..

i just think it's the start of an idea that does neither the car or the woman any favours - but mabey thats the point.. is it ironic ?

Thank you for your comment. I will take it as a sincere inquiry, though it may have been a rhetorical admonishment; in which case I am not trying to pick a fight. The image is not meant to be a deep visual exploration, ironic, nuanced, original, or political. It is a very simple abstraction of familiar subject matter. It is most akin to pinup, as in a poster.

I said I'd return to this picture. I had to examine the curves of the XK Jag once more. The last one was left is a sad state after it hit by a freight train on a crossing just outside Harari Hospital in then Rhodesia, (Zimbabwe). Of course, it was British racing green and that color was still intact but it looked like some welded form one sees in modern art museums.

So this is quite special for me as it's a return to maiden form.

The car body is supposed to be cat like. Now I can see the commonality between the model and the car. These are two strong subjects for us. The car has a shape born of great talent and creativity. This cars look feline but aristocratic. I've never realized where those curves came from. The curvaceous thighs of the model are perfect for a possible origin to the shape of the fenders. I can see Aaron that you've tried to reproduce in the model's form the kind of highlights present in the car. That you've succeeded in achieving. however, her breasts and face get no such treatment. At the very least, I'd have expected more light on her top left shoulder and also the top of her head. . Otherwise, I'd have imagine her with both her arms in front of her over the hood and the light on her back. But then would you have gotten the 90 degree curve of the pelvis.

The res gloves are fine for this glamor picture and replace the expected high heel shiny leather shoes or dirty bikini. They work better with a car as it shows respect for the car in a funny way.

A lot might depend on who owns the car as to how the posing goes.

I am sure you have lots more that you didn't show. I'd love to see the variations in poses and lighting.
