Offshore Wind Generators awaiting on shore

Not the best image, but options were limited, given I likely could not have taken the picture inside the grounds of the port. So took through window from Car on freeway when coming back from dentist.

Driving to the Dentist I saw all those yellow things first and I was like what are those and then I noticed the Wind Generator towers. The Yellow parts are likely the transition pieces for the towers (the part that sits at surface level to take the waves).
I had heard they were starting to ship them into the Port but first time in several months since I travelled that way.

These are most likely going to the Offshore wind farm off Virginia Coast that Dominion is putting in. Far enough along in progress even losing federal portion of funding not likely to stop it at this point.

So after Dentist, I pulled camera I keep in car to the front seat, made sure it had card and battery and while primarily paying attention to traffic (Safety first), took some images with my right hand, basically guessing at the right aim. Doing a quick check if I could between shots. Most of the shots were too low or too high and crooked, but these are two okay ones given the circumstances.

There was a spot I could have pulled off the highway, stopped and gotten a better picture, maybe, but I missed it while watching for slowing traffic. The maybe is it was across one of the rivers and I only had the 50mm lens with me. Bit of a drive to go back, since I got what I wanted.
If I had planned to take the shots ahead of time would have brought good camera and longer lenses.

Just sharing for the fun of it. Comments are welcome, although remember the circumstances, when doing so.

Taken with a Canon T3i (because that is what I keep in my car, because I am not going to get terribly upset if it walks off at some point, still be upset, but not terribly).
