One new lady from Italy! :) China Snaphots: do you have Great Photographs of China?

I'm pleased to welcome Cristiana Verde, an Italian photographer.

I'm posting on her behalf and then she'll add more!

Here's a pictures taken in China in April of this year with an Olympus uD600.

I hope that others will post superb photographs of China! Could someone take us to the old and the new, the mounts and the rivers and dams, villages and cities and more?

If necessary I'll have to go there, Nicolas!

Are you ready! I want the hustle and bustle of a large city that interfaces with the West then worki my weay inwards to the next level of industial-modern ciuty China, to the great dams and the lakes that have lowered the worlds oceans by 2.5 cm, to the countryside and places where English is unknown and village life is hardly changed excpet for a lot of plastic containeors and and mass-produced flip flop rubber sandles.

I dream to see large mountains shouded in mist with great valleys where people herd goats and cattle as they did thousands of years ago.

There must be photographers who's work will stun us! But where is it?

hello Nicolas,

ciao buona giornata.

I'm so glad that your answer to me in Italian and in English to Michael! LOL I love that! LOL, LOL!

But I must confess I'm punished! Though I do love Italia and Italian people, my Italian speaking is very weak, hence this answer in English!

What a pity, a French man talking to an Italian woman… in English ;-)

2 week ago I went to shoot some boat in Cala Galera and that made me crazy again with your so nice people and country, I may come down there one day and have a gallery to finish quietly my days under the beautifull south Toscania light. Then I'll get plenty time to learn Italian (I'm a Côtes d'Azur guy)

Back to your message, beside your lovely "ah, questi francesi con l'italiano che parlano...carina davvero" it seems that all your message are well there, but maybe you mean personnal message via the PM page or email?
please be more specific in your questions…

"ciao buona giornata" (you made my day ;-)

hello Nicolas...actually, ciao Nicolas,

You're right ! though it is easier for me to write and read in English than Italian;-(

But it is also a general rule to write here in English for anyone to understand. Sometimes it's nice to use some Italian or French or Spanish or ANY languages, but just for short sentences, comme un clin d'œil… some private joke… tu comprends ?

e magari ci risentiamo in futuro.
certainly not!

Caro Cristiana

I'll keep talking to you, even if some around there may get jealous!
where are you in Italy? in Milano?
If you export Italian clothes to China, you're pretty good manager!
Do you always take pictures while on travelling for your job?

Post, post!

I am in Bordeaux in South West of France though I'm from Cannes in the French Riviera. Hence my passion with all mediterranean countries and more specifically Italia…

Ti auguro una nuova notte stellata…

Hey Nicolas,

they say (& I agree) that the light in Tasmania is similair to Tuscan light. I am planning on being back in Florence in May 2008 so I will have to check it out..... whilst I contemplate over a bottle of Chianti.

Ciao,

Paolo

The light may look even better if you look thru the Chianti bottle !-) (which as been to be ordered to the waiter instead of being under contemplation !-)
