Yes it's a good start Chris - I find the background a bit bright, but it doesn't detract from the clarity.

It’s very rich. I really enjoy the orange and yellow of this unusual orchid.
I agree that the background might be an area to explore but anyway this is uplifting and promises a coming spring for us all!

Orchids are such beautiful and elegant plants. I see you have many buds, so more flowers coming your way, so plenty to experiment with. I agree about the background, but play around and you will find your way. Good start!
