Just for fun I grabbed this 5 or 6 frame vertical pano on a flying visit to Sutton Hoo last week. Wasn't really sure where to post it, but hope it brngs a smile.

Impressive. I've often thought of the need to do this with some backgrounds. I wonder about a B&W version. That may add even more unity.

Mike, great idea and well executed. The kids enjoying autumn sunshine sure made me smile, and I'll be old Raedwald would have been pleased as well.

Yeah, but I remain a little unsure about this working. What with all the space that a pano' offers, why did you 'chop' the young girl's legs off?

For me, including the young girl's feet in the bottom of the shot would offer a better balance or analogy with the 'crossed' rims of the boat at the top, no?

Cheers all

Paul, you'r probably right about the legs, but I wanted their heads in the same frame as their bodies and legs and so the legs went:) Couldn't step back without climbing a fence and changing lens would have taken too long. The shot was not posed - one frame of the girls and then worked up the seat back - actually I wound up using Naomi's head from the frame two overlap... thanks to the magic of photoshop! Can't see the join at 33 by 16 inches.

It wasn't a planned visit, but I also came back with a couple of pictures that fit right into a little series I've started putting together - really a theme that emerged from some recent shooting, rather than being planned in advance.
