Dwayne Oakes: Passage Through The Arches

Excellent! The deer interest can be brought forward to advantage by relighting just a tad. You might consider bringing some light to the deer and its ears and then select leaves in the foreground trees on each side to replicate the look of the delightful ears.

Hi Dwayne

My first reaction was positive, I like the image. At the same time, my eyes were bouncing between the highlight spot at the end of the trail and the deer. IMO, the composition is good as is, is just that the deer remains as a secondary subject, and that's sort of unnatural to the way we normally would focus our attention in a scene like this, however the photo is about the passage. I would consider recomposing the image by "zooming in" to give more relevance to the deer, and positioning the end of the road closer to the left side.

Regards,

Ruben
