The other night Carla and I went to a marvelous concert at Weatherford's Texas Opry Theater, which one might call a "variety house".
The concert was by a local "Big Band", playing World War II music. Members of a number of veterans groups were there in uniform, and various WW II memorabilia was on display (including two beautifully restored Jeeps)..
The temperature late in the afternoon had been 107° F, and it hadn't cooled off much by curtain time. It was a bit beyond the capacity of the air conditioning system in the aging theater.
A young lady seated a couple of rows in front of us had her own practical solution.
