I picked up a used 40D body, and I'm blown away by the difference in color and clarity over photos from my T1i. Here's just two from the new camera.

Hi Sydney,

Congratulations on the new camera. Pike is very cute, and will never tire to pose for you (he is just a bit hard to direct ;-) ). Enjoy both of them!

Cheers,
Bart

Sydney Rester: Pike contemplating

Sydney,

Bart is so right! This is the cutest dog ever! I'm glad you love the 40D. It might be better for your work than the 50D where the pixels are tiny. I am surprised that the color of the rebel was off. Likely this is a matter of some processing issue that resolvable. do you still own the Ti? Unless you are out of it's good color range, i.e. above ISO 800-1600, I am surprised there would be much difference between color of two Canon cameras in that general price range.

Asher

BTW, I myself prefer to have no plastic toys with the pet photograph as it's a distraction. That's what brightly colored objects are designed to do!
