Please Excuse Me If I Don't . . .

. . . put the photos here directly.

They mayor of a neaby village \ commune told me about an unusual feature connected with the old railway line, a double bridge. One bridge on top of another. I met him (the mayor) yesterday and he gave me a large scale map of how to get to it (well and truly lost in the stick!). Alas, with all the undergrowth, not an easy thing to photograph, unless I wanted to stand in brambles and goodness knows what else (which I didn't want) space was limited, so Ifelt the photos were \ are not as good as I might have hoped. Between you and me though from what I had heard I was expecting a structure far far bigger and my initial thoughts when I saw it were "is that it?!".
But I manage to rescue three photos for the blog just so as I could add to my credentials with a mayor (always good to do) and also to show a hidden part of the area.

So, a few words and photos are on my blog here.

I love it - photo-archaelogy. Though when you used the word bridge I was expecting a water crossing :)

Do these pass through a section of ground that has been raised for the railway line?

Hélène,

What interesting images and story! For sure the mayor is going to fall in love with you and give you more ideas. Why not a self portrait in the tunnel. You can set the camera on a small tripod to automatic or "Av".

I think this has just been built where there is a natural dip in the land, it rolls very gently.

I called the keyholder of the church in Savigné today and went to photograph it this afternoon. She said she had awaited my call as the mayor had told her about me, 'cos he gave me her number!

I'll work on those photos this weekend.
