Hi Charlotte,

What a lovely and encouraging comment you wrote for me to start the new year with. Thank you.

I am no artist. I am not creative either. My lenses approximate human vision..50mm +/- a little.
Sometimes I get lucky, not often.

One thing I do do, though. I keep shooting. Everything and anything. This photograph was taken
yesterday while my wife and me were enjoying the winter sun. She insisted on reading to me from
Robin Sharma! I went up, got my camera, started shooting her ( and mentally blocking the ' inspirations'
of Mr. Sharma ).

With the bright winter sun, I had decided to go for a high key effect. This is the result.

Take care of yourself and your loved ones.

p.s. don't know the names of horses either :(

Hello Asher, thank you for your comments. Much appreciated.

I shall presume and interpret your question ' Who is the artist, you are someone higher? ' as

' Who is the artist, you OR someone higher? .

There is , for me, one and only one obvious answer...The Supreme Creator and Artist

'Before Him I willingly submit my being, my soul and my life. Before His Majesty, I gladly prostrate
myself. He is The One in Whom I find guidance, solace, and my meager knowledge. He shall look
after me ( and all of us ) as He has looked after me in the darkness and solitude of my mother's womb, and since, and till He determines when my time on this earth has come to an end.

There is no Artist but Him '.

Dip a needle in the ocean, remove it. The level of the ocean that was depleted by this action is
infinitely more than all the art and knowledge that all of creation has, can and will ever achieve.

This is my belief, and I do not participate in any discussion of it. I dutifully and solemnly respect other people's beliefs and ( paraphrasing The Holy Koran ) say...' your beliefs for you and my beliefs for me '

With the deepest of respects and regards to all.

Humbly yours.

Yes, Fahim,

We understand each other even when I'm clumsy in speech! That's the point of good intent. It is able to survive our own imperfection in expression. The beautiful thing is that my idea was received as my brain intended.

Hello Fahim,

That is a quote I shall endeavor to remember. Thank you for it.
I'm still digesting the image. It certainly is a departure from what I am used to experiencing within your images.
My initial reaction was...hmmmm, I like that!

I like this picture very much, I think it is creative and funny.

"Red hair and black frames", probably all the people who know her recognize her instantly, just like a cigar and a wide black moustache says Groucho Marx, or a bowler hat, small moustache and giant shoes, Charlie Chaplin.
But to people like me, who do not know her, the value of the picture is graphical. I wonder if it should be classified as a portrait, inasmuch as a portrait tells us something about the person in the picture. Would it be "mystery woman" or "invisible"?
