I wondered how it was called the “Purple” Heron!

In your link they show the adult is indeed gloriously colored purple!

It has such abundant plumage that, at first it looks like it’s a mating pair!

I cross reference my ID with half a dozen bird watchers & photographer.

I differ to experts when I unsure
