This is interesting, Fahim! A rose on the edge of a rice paddy!

Why the UNESCO designation. It must have a special history or the natural irrigation may be ancient and important to preserve. You cropped the image?

Do you have more of the geometry of the terraced fields themselves?

Asher, the title is inadvertently misleading. It is not the rice fields but a Temple amongst them that is. The Pura Taman Ayun.

The rice fields though are a marvel. I shall show more when I get home.

The Subak...an irrigation system that ensures everyone gets water is a marvel.

I have to rush ) 0700 hrs here. Got to get to a point by midday.
