My World: Scaring the pigeons...

Kids do like scaring the pigeons all over the world it seems. On the other side, I know some people who are scared of pigeons, lol.

I like the capture and how the pigeons ended up in the composition. The distribution of the birds and the various poses they each have is an essential part of the composition and it is very strong imho. Of course, this is not something one can plan for but one must see, anticipate and take the picture at the right moment. You have done a very good job at that. The fact that the child and the background are not in focus is an added bonus. The only nit I have to pick is the harsh white of the roadside which distracts a bit. I wonder how it would work if you would selectively darken it. And lastly, if you are not puritan about it, would you perhaps consider cloning out the half pigeon walking on the wall down left? As it is the only bird not flying in the picture and as it is walking out of the frame, removing it might improve the picture. Or perhaps not, I am not so sure in any case. Just a thought.

Enjoy the apparently good weather over there while you can, we are having extreme bad weather conditions here right now.

Hi Jerome,

I like the moment captured. That's what kids do the world over, and so do the pigeons.

For me it is the getting together of these elements that matter the most.

Regards.
