I use a 30D and an XT backup for weddings etc.
When clients start to roll through my doors, I will be looking to upgrade some gear.
Currently my macro kit consists of my existing lenses plus Kenko macro tube which I find are a bitch to use.
I have ideas of taking close-ups of wedding rings on the ring cushion. Thus I am thinking toward a Sigma 50mm. My question is - how reliable would the Sigma 50mm be in action. I found that my Tamron 28-75 and 17-35 were very hit and miss on my XT. They're better on my 30D though I seem to use my Canon lenses more. Would I be better saving my pennies and buying a Canon 50mm macro?
