*Adrian - there is something otherworldly about this work - its slightly disturbing - as if its something only half seen for me . thanks for the input on this theme.

I should never look at your photos before I go to bed, Mark. I have really bad dreams trying to figure out what it's all about. I'm not being negative or critical, I'm seriously missing the point. I can't even find a 'like' or 'dislike' in me. I need something to work with. Please shed some light so I can get a decent night sleep.
Cheers
Tom

Tom,

you may be thinking too much and not sleeping enough man - and if that's my pictures fault I can only apologies on their behalf - they have told me they don't want to be cause of frustration - but had also said that sometimes frustration is a feature of them.

the work is a picture of a picture that has been waxed. it's very photographic and is how it appears - its in this section because the underling structure is provided by a measurement of light reflected from a sky - recorded digitaly.

post a bloody picture of sky mr dinning !

cheers

Jake - this stack is beautiful - really enjoy the rhythm.

thanks for all the addtions man.

Stack? This is a single photo. I wish I had more knowledge back then. I would have stopped the car and stitched as wide as I could. These formations went as far as the eye could see!

Everyone's photos are beautiful! Loving Andy Brown's and Tom Dinnings! I'm so partial to the storm photos.. These are some oldies, but goodies of mine:

Moose Peterson made a post on his blog one time, that inspired me to go out and shoot some skies. Here are a few of what I got that day.

1) Probably my favourite because of the graphic feel and simplicity

2) And then this similar one with a "Lonely Tree"

3) A Local Cable company has all of their towers and dishes sitting on top of a hill out in this countryside

And then these 3 images I took by stopping on the side of the highway and shooting down it as the sun set at the end of the road.

4) There couldn't have been a more appropriate vehicle than a motorcycle, to fly by me and head up the road to the peak where I shot 3 or 4 to try and get him above the horizon and backlit

5) I like the offset and lots of black space drawing attention to the bright and colourful areas

6) Driving to the top of the hill, I pulled off on a side road to get a clearer view of the sky without hydro lines interfering
