while at a local botanical garden this weekend, i spotted this iris growing next to a pond at the bottom of a landscaped waterfall. they'd just turned off the sprinklers, and the plants were still wet with droplets of water. the sun was blocked by trees overhead, but a breeze moved the branches from time to time, so i waited for the right light and snapped this photo...

Canon 30D, Sigma EX80-400 at 225mm, 1/500 @ f5.6...

What a a lucky find. Looks so real!

This was so good that for a moment I was worried about water dripping down on to my PowerBook Pro keyboard.

Is this a white Iris?
