Still Life with Shadow (the cat's name)

One of my two cats.

I case you are wondering the answer is duct tape, super glue, valium and large chunks of salmon.

Very nice Steve. I think this is a first here - a thought-out and posed pet picture (not to downrate the "opportunistic" variety).

Congratulations Ateve! I like this novel approach here. This is interesting for us.

Is this a one shot or part of a project that you will continue work on. IOW, is this going to progress as a art and can we critique? At the least, it uplifts us!

Hello,

Asher - didn't see the reply here, hence the delay.

I had just purchased some studio lights and was playing around with them. Cat jumped on the table, and it led to this.

I had a project of doing some still lifes and converting them to paintings on canvas, but it never really panned out.

I'm not sure I've taken a cat picture since.

I remember when I took this I posted it on dpr. Got a lot of angry replies of how I had either faked the photo by PS'ing the cat it or using a stuffed cat. Don't visit dpr much anymore...

Well that blows my theory about this being thought-out and posed :(
