Storage Solutions: Filing Cabinets?

Greetings,

I am wondering about storing prints that are not matted and/or framed yet. How do you guys do it?

I saw a filing Cabinet at Ikea for A3, but surely there must be larger Versions as well.

If you lay them flat, what do you put inbetween to protect the print. Or do you have a different solution for storage of prints?

Thanks!

George - I'd love to see the Ikea filing cabinet - do you have a link?

Right now I am storing images in some cardboard that they arrive in from the lab that I use for printing.

This unit looks like it might be really nice for that purpose, if you have the room for it:

It matches this one, which many of us (including yours truly) use as a printer stand for big printers like the Epson 4800:

I like that one so much I bought two of them. My Rotatrim cutter sits on top of the second one at a nice working height, and most of my camera gear lives in the drawers.

ohhh, they are quite nice in deed Nill! That belfast thing is butt ugly compared!

What max printsize do you store there? What do you put between the prints, and how many do you staple onto eachother max?

I don't use mine for prints; in fact I hardly store prints at all. I print 'em and ship 'em. ;-)

You can probably roughly calculate the drawer sizes from the specs on the links.
