Just an old shot, but one that I think captures the symmetry of the California Poppy, Eschscholzia californica, reasonably well.
I am not particularly fond of flower shots as they get repetitive without pollinators on them, but they still make for good compositional practice due to their random placement in nature. But I do like images of their symmetry. I like that when capturing symmetry one is left with the challenge of taking organic natural forms and trying to find their clinical idealized form.
Any thoughts or images welcome.
thanks,
Sean
