Taste the salt

I like this one.
I really like it.

It floats my boat.

For me it's like starry night at midday.

I hope it strikes a chord somewhere for the oceanic folk and the odd landlubber.

Thanks Wolfgang.
No. stayed dry today apart from when I went for a swim. Alas, swimming season is almost over.

Andy,

This is so interesting as it extremes of natural and man made forms. If we just look at the background, how more simple can it be, (no pixel-peeping allowed ? !), it's just two stripes of see and or geometrically planned areas of color.

But then consider the scattered white specs. They could be spattered from Pollocks brush or dropped by a passing bird.

Because of these possibilities, the work is very open to contemplation and private personal experience by each of us as observers.

Thanks!

When I see such as this, I am prone to ask, "What are you hoping to add to this series", as this is a special class of work on its own.

That's quite something! Spring has just arrived here so the image whetted my appetite to board a boat and float along on a warm day.

Cheers

A landlubber here! I was born and grew up by a mighty river, so the sea has always been an inspiration of awe and fear for me. I love it and I'm scared to death by it. I love your picture. Very simple, very striking.

I can't focus on it, Andy. My new glasses are on their way. That might make a difference.
Did the camera survive the spray?

I'm more of a coastal dweller myself, venturing out into the ocean far enough to catch a free ride back to the security of solid ground. Boat floating seems an expensive proposition and rather insecure. I might try ballon filling or overflowing a cup.
