Nice, beautiful light and the angle of the boat and the paddle makes it work. But what about cropping so that the subject takes a larger part of the frame?

Interesting challenge Jerome has made! I was thinking instead, what other pictures did you shoot? I'd love to see the ones you have not shared. To me it's interesting to se how subtle things change the power of a composition.

Wider or closer, there's a lot to consider.

I'm impressed by the very question of how this should be!
