I reply now, only because things are so slow and I don't want to see this picture become an orphan! There's a remarkable unity in the sienna palette going through every shape and texture in the carpet of the clearing and the trees behind.

Remarkably, almost nothing is given importance and yet the picture manages to get attention! Perhaps it's a negation of framing properly and deciding that something "is". Here nothing "is" more than anything else, yet we have regions of the woods that tell a story of beginnings and long life, a cycle we rely on, a journey, expecting there could be something better beyond the visible.
So I like this and so I have further confused my understanding of art!
