We had a great shoot today in my studio...she is NOT a model but is the assistant to one of my clients and wanted some "naughty but nice" lingerie/boudoir shots done and of course I was happy to oblige. These are SOOC....The red backdrop is new and at first I was unhappy with it but after seeing the results...I am a happy photographer.

Hi Kathy,

Kudos and congrats on giving this girl her dream shots. These are well directed and the skin is well lit. You have opened a new path for yourself here! This is not just weddings and baby shoots now!

Asher

Just a small point, some more separation of the subject from the background with a backlight and a hair-light would add another nice touch to an already great style! I'd tame the highlight on her forward in the first shot, just a tad. These are fussing for sure :)

Hi Kathy,

Kudos, as Asher wrote. As you know I am not a studio photographer so I cannot give you C&C on the lighting aspects, although I agree with Asher that some bg separation and highlight spot on the hair would be a good idea. Also, lower the contrast on the 2nd and the 3rd ones a little perhaps?

I like these pictures and if I were her partner, I'd be delighted to see them :). Well done indeed.

Cheers,

More lights

I think I am going to need another couple lights. I have a snoot, beauty dish, softboxes, strip lights and grids. I did light the bg. Well, I have already blown the budget for the first year. Whats another few $$$.

Thanks for the C&C....

Hi Kathy

Just a quickie, but I wanted to say well done, an exciting additional "string to your bow" I'm sure that women will feel at ease with you, which I'm sure will be an advantage for you, keep up the good work!

Thanks

Thanks, Jan. Appreciate the encouragement.

I think I am going to get a client or two since Carina was willing to let me share them with others - not something most non-models are willing to do. One of my lines that I tell the girls is that I am from the generation when women were less respected than they are now and that it's important to show their feminine side at the same time showing respect for them as people.
