I like the simplicity of the concept. The challenge is in execution. You have done a great job with the different pictures in this series. The sky is perfect. Is that T.O., where you live?

There's more from these shots!

Have you worked out if and how you might decide what would be your output image?

Thank you, thank you :)
Yes, it's T.O., Sunset Hills, right here: http://maps.smugmug.com/?feedType=geoAlbum&Data=1790165

I agree. I'm planning on reshooting it specifically (that series was kinda improptu), maybe remove couple of twigs:), use the tripod and a better lens - then we'll see :)

Nikolai,

Don't let this go. It is a worthwhile project: simple concept but much more challenging to get a total composition compelling and complete.

As soon as you are satisfied, hold off on posting, just send the final product to me to put on hold.

Now we'll post sufficient shots taken in the early stage of this project with a challenge to digitally create their own iimplementation of your title, "Two Types of Barbs".

This would require creative processing including perhaps, composites from the different shots we post.

After people have put their renderings on line, I'll post your own completed version and we'll discuss the results.

I'm not letting it go, trust me!

But my SO got so wound up that I spent the whole weekend at the airshow and away from the family, that now I have a hard time to get the "kitchen pass" even for an hour. I missed a *gorgeous* sunset last night :-((, a thing that does not happen often in our area - some clouds, almost no haze...

Yet since I was a good boy for the last two evening, I hope I'll get some more material on the subject.

I'll let you know:)
