Wildflower Photos

I haven't been on the board much lately as I've been in the process of moving from Memphis to Austin, but I have managed to take a few pictures. Austin is going to be a great town for photography, I think.

These are from the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center, taken with the 135L.

Sandrine,

These are very beautiful plant forms and colors. Can we see the whole plants too. They may not be artistic images but they will be interesting to me. Have you identified the plants? Others likely just know these flowers.

The picture of the butterfly on the white flow would be nice to see cropped and larger as there appears to be some unusual features in the flower petals.

Thanks for sharing!

Asher

Sydney,

Back to your pictures of "wild flowers". They worried me when I first saw them and now I have started to wonder what's going on in your mind here, for example:

I'd like to know more of your framing. It's as if you are doing portraits and cut of the top of the head and feet as if in a studio. What's on your mind?
