"Wonders of Nature" Vernissage 10.3.2015

Vernissage yesterday on March 10, 2016 at the Gasometer Oberhausen, Germany. Amazing place, wonderfully done exhibit! Now officially open till December 30, 2016

This is HUGE!

The subdued light is helpful. This seems like a very expensive exhibit to put up. Not cheap to print that large. Are the prints covered with a protective coating?

What will happen to them after the show?

Yes it is, but very impressive to see it in person. I lighted up the BG in the picture, in reality is it darker, so the intense colors stand out even more.

I assume they used a coating, but I head from the project head they had issues with the large prints and it wasn't easy at all. They use Alu Dibond btw.

Sure was it expensive, but that museum has a few big ticket sponsors (Air Liquide being one), so all is first class.

I'm fairly sure I can speak for everyone here and say that we love your work. OK I'll speak for myself, I love your work, love your passion for nature and its wonder, love your ability to seek out unbelievable lenses (even the suspicion you killed a KGB agent to secure a certain piece of glass), I love it that you are well recognized in your specialist field but... I wanna know, do you get invited to display your works, do you get a decent recompense for your outstanding work, do curators seek you out and offer a retainer for their next project??
So many questions.

Thank you Andy for your kind words. Well, they find me usually, we talk, we agree (or disagree at times) and we do something together (or not). If they work for profit, I do so too, if not, I don't either. But it is never about the money in the first place. So quite a simple concept I have. Enough to make a living? Rather not until now, but a compensation for all the time and efforts until I got there. Greetings to Down Under!
