Very nice, Eric. And I agree - the comical dance of the Reddish Egret is something that has to be seen to be believed.

I hope you don't mind my adding an image to your thread, but here's a photo from Ding Darling from a few years ago, of a Reddish Egret there:

As I comment on my site, it's behavior looks like something out of Monty Python's 'Ministroy of Silly Walks'!

Yes this is one good character actor; he's a "humanoid" with those long legs, graceful neck and upright stance! What a perfect model for a cartoon!

These are two really nice images of egrets, Eric. To me, these would look well placed in a wildlife photographic magazine.
