Borne by the wind, the samara of the Chinese Wingnut is destined for one of two fates: to be swept away by a stream to the sea's vast embrace, or to settle on a riverbank, take root among its kin, and bear witness to the endless flow of water merging with the deep.But instead, they landed on this dry riverbed, with only themselves and a few grasses by their feet.
