Hi Fahim,

I remember that you have shown these a few years back but seeing them again is sheer fun. To me, this place feels like a theme park; albeit a very expensive and exclusive one.

Cheers,

Hi, Fahim,

Atlantis, the Hotel, of course.
Is this Atlantis The Palm in Dubai?

Carla and I visited (on a day trip) the sister property on Paradise Island in Bahamas while on a short cruise last year. It was fabulous.

In its initial phase, it was known as the Trump Towers.

Best regards,

Doug

Charlotte, It is good. For a few days only. After all it is not home!

Mike, yes we do build for entertainment. I guess ok for a very tiny while.

Best to you both.

In 2009 (how the time files!) Carla and I took a brief cruse to the Bahamas (out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida) on an interesting ship, the Bahamas Celebration. It had at one time been in a service in which the passengers' cars were taken along, and it has two lower decks equipped for that. At a later time in its life, it had been used to carry goods trucks in parallel with the passenger service.

It was substantially smaller than many of the "mainline" cruise ships,. but it was in excellent condition, very comfortable and the service was excellent. We often fondly call it "the barge". It sailed from a small terminal in Port Lauderdale, with a parking garage nearby and very convenient access.

We see it here at dock at Paradise Island, the Bahamas:

On a day trip, we visited the Atlantis Hotel and Resort on Paradise Island, the Bahamas. It was exquisite.

Here we see a lovely sculpture with one of the main buildings in the background:

Here we see Carla in the theater onboard the ship, waiting for the nightly show to begin (I guess we might say it already had):

My compliments to Mrs. Kerr.

The Hotel in Dubai is a twin, from the exterior Doug.

I wish I could visit the Bahamas. Can one get massages there? Atlantis in the Bahamas! Thinks mermaids.

Regards to you both.
