It’s so interesting how some people, (with the right leadership, perhaps), are able to survive and fight in face of deprivation and devastating bombardment, whereas others are crushed!

What makes that difference. Once collective bravery appears it seems infectious. Is that the same as a domino effect of collapse of dispirited attacking troops?

But we can’t help admiring valiant defense against terrible odds!
