Mexican Riviera street walk

Anne and I hopped on the local ADO bus on a one hour trek north to Playa Del Carmen to explore the popular 5’th Avenue. I knew it would be a great opportunity to capture pics of people, as the no cat zone street is crowded with tourists and street vendors.

Instead of heading back late on the bus, we found a cute little hotel right on the beach so that I could catch the morning sunrise. It was cloudy this morning, but that created some beautiful drama.

I am so thrilled you are back to your old haunts and insolvent with the streets on such a visceral level!

Such a lot of beautiful life. Much more declarative and colorful than say London, Antwerp or Los Angeles!

These folk announce their prince!

Robert,

We have nothing a colorful in our streets as the first image you share! Something about the culture of the entire Southern USA indigenous peoples they allocate bright bold colors, something Europeans shy away from as they appear to be so much more reserved.

It’s as if Europeans don’t want to be noticed!

Now your second picture is dramatically simple, with a barbed wire fence to a private factory and billowing cloud in the bg, contrasting with the black silhouette of the fence called with vicious limb lacerating spikes and folk in front, who could have been sent there by Magritte!

It’s a remarkable picture that will conjure up different universes for each person and for each body and is worthy of an exhibition when you find its siblings in power!
