I like the term Daddy Long Legs, but this is not the best example as it doesn’t have HUGE legs!
But this is not a spider and only has two eyes and no pinch between the cephalothorax and abdomen!
Imagine how many species there are within this order and they have hardly changed on 400 million years!

The common name, daddy-longlegs, likely came about because of their small oval body and long legs, and the name harvestman because they are most often seen in large numbers in the fall around harvest time.
