This is superb! You really have to start being fascinated by birds as you now know where the are and can reach them. What’s more thr R 5 has fast locking on target exceptional tracking!

This captured my attention as it’s so graceful: my favorite!

1. Did you use an extender?

2. Did you follow the birds with an arc of movement with your lens to help track it?

I should have mentioned these were shot in 2007 on my first of 4 EF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM.

I am now on my 7th that is my 3rd EF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM II.
