Praia da Marinha (translation: navy beach) is an iconic beach near Lagoa. It is known as one of the most beautiful beaches of the world.
When you arrive, make sure you check out the breathtaking view over the beach. The beach is surrounded by steep cliffs, which gives it a magical feeling. From these cliffs you will see a view that you will remember for a very long time.

Always be aware of those cliffs, rocks or whatever you may call them as sometimes they fall and obviously, are dangerous.
Never lay in the shadow areas under them !

Praia de Nossa Senhora da Rocha is also a very small and pleasant beach !
