These are exquisite dwarf South American flowers of the sunflower family. Do sunflowers have similar UV markings?

Yes, snflowers also have similar markings in UV!

So those patterns were decided a long time ago in the plants evolution. Presumably the insect pollinators might have changed in size a bit but otherwise havr been more stable than mammals!
