It's quite pleasing for a street grab-shot. If posed I would have tried to balance the lighting more so the man's face had a bit better illumination in the shadows. But since it is labeled a 'street' portrait, I get the feeling this scene was presented, then a second later, was gone. Like I said, I like it.

The background is interesting, filled with references to the camera, the viewer, and even to the subject himself. Perhaps it might have been improved if it were slightly off center - to the left please - so the point between the man and the eye in the bg was the center. Did you take this with a rangefinder camera? I have found that my RF street portraits tend to be centered, because that is where the focusing is done.

Hey Chris thank you for your feedback! Its a street shot in the sense that this person was a complete stranger. Yes I did put him in front of this background although I do get a bit nervous and don't like to take up too much of the persons time. You are correct about the Range finder.

James, very nice. Street..I do not worry too much about exposure. Most of the time small adjustments can be made in pp.

Good bg indeed.

Regards.

Much Appreciated! Fahim. I prefer the composition of this one but I do wish I had moved him over to the left a tich. The light is sort of how I remember it.

I like your enterprise in photographing the man the way you imagined and had him cooperate. If you're going to do that, go to the nth of what you really can imagine and achieve!

Do more like this!
