Tight Rope Walk Across Masaya Volcano

It was fun learning a few days ago about Nik Wallenda walking across the massive, active Masaya volcano in Nicaragua. He successfully completed it a few hours ago.

As much as anything, my interest is based on Anne and I knowing the area well, and my photographing the volcano on many occasions from different vantage points around the area.

Here are a few pics that I have taken if the Masaya Volcano

This is 1800 feet down into the molten lava lakes

This is the 1800 foot expanse he walked across. The cars in the parking lot on right side, give perspective

Robert,

If my picture here can make one think a little of God’s realm of Heaven,

.....then your amazing photograph is a warning of the unrelenting terror of the cauldrons of hell!

The pressure, odour and heat must be oppressive.

Frankly, this is not my first choice.

But for you and Anne, you do need to visit this as you are unlikely to be awarded a room down there!

Me? Well that’s another matter, LOL!

Looks amazing. I want to visit this place soon. To my mind better to use special equipment for hiking during traveling to volcano. For example, it is cobra walkie-talkies like in thebestwalkietalkies I think Cobra CX312 is powerful and simple in use.
Is this another ring-in?
Someone anxious to flog us some walkies.
Don’t you know about iPhones?
