It was fun learning a few days ago about Nik Wallenda walking across the massive, active Masaya volcano in Nicaragua. He successfully completed it a few hours ago.

As much as anything, my interest is based on Anne and I knowing the area well, and my photographing the volcano on many occasions from different vantage points around the area.

This is 1800 feet down into the molten lava lakes
This is the 1800 foot expanse he walked across. The cars in the parking lot on right side, give perspective
