Local market - black and white pics

Walking through a Market in London Ontario on the weekend, I grabbed some shots as I walked around. I had my tiny Olympus E-M10 with small 14-42 (18-84 equivalent) pancake lens, with the camera at waist level and screen pointing up for me to view. I found it advantageous to fire the shutter by touching the screen instead of using the shutter button.

E-M10 Mark III.

Doesn’t make a difference to me really. I have 2 E-M10 first iteration and they are essentially the same. The one I use is the newest camera of the 3 E-M10’s for me. Bought it in 2017/2018

I heard that zoom is very sharp. Is that true?

Today, if you were normally a Canon user, would you consider the new APSC Fuji cameras instead of the Olympus?

I’m happy with the quality. Been using the micro 4/3 Olympus cameras and kit lenses (as well as other Olympus lenses) since 2010 when my original E-PL1 first became available. I have no need to change systems. Nothing available today, tempts me.

I have admired your work over the years. Nothing amiss in your pictures that needs “fixing” and there’s a great advantage to knowing a body so well!

But what did you use for weddings, way back when?

From the early 1980’s to early 2000’s, Olympus OM 2s Program and OM 4 film cameras, and for my studio work a Mamiya RZ67 with metered eye level finder.

From 2002 - 2007 I bought a couple of Nikon D70’s and later a D200 when I moved to digital capture and Olympus was a little behind. These were some of my busiest years and i wore my cameras out.

Once Olympus got heavy into the 4/3 digital market, I started replacing the Nikons with Olympus and had E-520’s and E-3 pro body and eventually started working micro-4/3 into the mix in 2010. I think I sold off my last 4/3 gear in 2014.

The photo is the micro 4/3 bodies I currently have, including a pocketable E-PL3 that isn’t shown and a variety of lenses. 2 pro bodies (left side) and 4 smaller ones that I have with me in the car for daily use and street pics. My newest bodies are on the front left and front right.
