No soap was hurt in the making of this picture!
...I am constantly looking for odd things on my way. I saw this in january on the way to a hike:

What is the most common, ordinary, mundane, everyday object you ever photographied?

Fahim,
Your work is naturally elegant and always a good choice. Still, let me gently steer the thread a little more towards Sandrine's original idea. It does not require beauty!

......... the simple, mundane and practical; elegantly imagined and shown. It's hard to be at this end of the spectrum, but it's a goal we can try every so often.

Pencils? "What is the most common, ordinary, mundane, everyday object you ever photographed?
But to my kids, pencils are not mundane..keyboards are. How about camels? Mundane?

Pencils are indeed "super mundane" and as perfect choice. camels, OTOH or far too noble and blessed with life to be assigned to this heading. Common, for sure but never mundane!
