Testing my new macro extension tubes

I got some cheap macro extension tubes & was over at the in-law's house with my camera, and got a couple of shots.
The first shot is a new little solar fountain that my mother-in-law just put in the bird bath.
I got an interesting effect with the sun light & the water spray.

And this is a Fuchsia hanging plant.

As long as the electrical contacts work, cheap doesn’t really matter!

I try to save money on extension tubes too!

That is one of the problems. No electrical contacts...
I have to manual focus & I'm not sure what the shutter is doing?
I'm not even sure how I got what I did.
I'll have to play with it again soon.

Then have the ISO at 400 and concentrate on the focus in “live view“. Can you get the zebra pattern or the outline when it’s in focus? I don’t remember which camera you are using!

I have a Canon 50D & yes, I can set the ISO at 400 & can try live view.
That sounds like it should work.
TNX for the info.

With macro, when very close to focus, steady and brace yourself and then keep taking pictures with very slight step movements in and out.
